Bang bang and everyone goes home? Are there no American troops left on Venezuelan soil? Or have they infiltrated deep into the country to catch the real perpetrators of the drug trafficking? I think Donald Trump is too coward for an occupation operation. He’s afraid, despite his bluster, of his own opposition, including the Republicans who will abandon him in Congress. Because he hasn’t consulted them about his private war.
Donald Trump joins the infamous and childish club of leaders who believe that force solves everything, less than a year after his election : he endorses the invasion of Ukraine by Putin’s Russia, the desire to annex Taiwan by Xi’s China, and the colonization of the West Bank by his best friend ever Netanyahu?
I’m curious to see what evidences the Trump administration will provide regarding Maduro and his wife’s involvement in drug trafficking. Was Maduro dealing pot at the corner of the streets around the Miraflores Palace, or was he laundering money on a large scale ?
Donald Trump cut off the head of the Chavista government but he doesn’t feel responsible for anything that might happen to the Venezuela’s people. The whole donald Trump’s operation was intended to take down a leader who defied him, him and his so-called American greatness. It was never about restoring democracy, he doesn’t know the meaning of the word.
Venezuela’s people are in the streets with arms. Could this be the beginning of a civil war between the Chavistas and the liberals, or a military pronunciamento ? Who holds power in Caracas after the Trump’s attack ?
If it’s the Chavistas, the American operation is already a big flop.
Cause of the war revealed : Trump says Maduro copied his dancing.
(Addentum) In a speech to Republican members of Congress at the Kennedy Center, Trump claimed that former Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro imitated his dance moves.
Maduro, who was seized by the US army in a raid on Caracas the night of 3 January, often appeared in public dancing – at one point, to a speech of his remixed to a Latin house beat.
Trump also enjoys a boogie, often to the Village People’s hit single, ‘YMCA.’ Trump’s signature dance move, by rocking the hips in a side-to-side motion while performing alternating, subdued fist pumps, became a feature of his election campaign rallies.
