How many terms does Donald Trump have in his dictionary ? The fact that he uses the same adjectives to describe everything should tell you all you need to know… it’s always “…very very bad…” or “…very very good…” and no matter what he is speaking about. The world of this guy is dichotomic. A child of 5 years old would understand all of any Trump’s speeches.
But if a 5-year-old child listened to Donald Trump’s speech today before his generals and senior officers in Quantico, Florida, he might have been scared. This rambling speech was, in truth, a declaration of war on the enemy within (which, of course, exists only in the tyrant’s head). Trump was calling for using our cities as « training ground » for armed forces.
All the officers and brass have greeted the speech with reverent and polite silence. Just before Pete Hegseth got an embarrassingly muted response when he delivered a rallying war cry meant to instill fear in America’s enemies in front of the country’s top military leaders. The Trump administration and his military are simply out of sync. How much disjointed ? That’s the question.
The 800 generals, admirals, and senior enlisted leaders were certainly a little bit surprised, the President is the commander in chief but usually nobody see him except his headquaters officers in the war room to kill Ben Laden. And the army is not supposed to have a point of view on politics. Besides, when you consider that the taxpayer paid for military personnel to fly in from far countries or battle fields to listen to this kind of crap and platitudes…
What should we expect from such a speech in the coming days ? Nothing at all, or the worst crackdown. Nothing, if the top brass understands that the President is a sick man who doesn’t know he’s insane. The worst, if they take this speech literally and order a shooting into a crowd in one of the major cities occupied by the army.
We’ll soon see if the military adheres to Donald Trump’s ideological agenda. Or if there are any grown-ups among those generals willing to tackle the 5-year-old who spoke today at Quantico.
