Joe Kent said that the threat posed by Iran was not imminent for the United States. He says thats perhaps it was for Israel, and that’s why Israel pushed Trump into this war? To protect their own interests ONLY.
From the very beginning of this story, in fact since 1979, I’ve wondered why Israel wants the destruction of Iran. Israel has been a nuclear power ever since the French gave it nuclear technology in the late 1950s. Preventing Iran from acquiring the atomic bomb only serves Israel’s purpose of eliminating any competition in the Middle East.
Where is the imminent threat? What does the United States stand to gain from all this? Can’t the United States be satisfied with a nuclear Iran counterbalanced by a nuclear Israel? Just as they are satisfied today with a similar situation between India and Pakistan? Or between North Korea (far more threatening to California with its intercontinental ballistic missiles) and South Korea, under U.S nuclear umbrella?
There was no imminent threat for us in Iran, it’s obvious. Trump’s stupidity has landed us in a real cock-up. United states have been screwed by Netanyahou and today we pay our gas 27% up. And it’s not finished…
