Donald Trump is against absentee/postal ballot and voting machines. He wants to abolish them to prevent electoral fraud. Why not? But the entire American electoral system needs to be overhauled. Especially the one that organizes the presidential election. To make it more democratic, there would need to be a single constituency for the entire country, from California to New York.

The electoral district system, with presidential electors, is a load of rubbish. An archaism that dates back to the time when Western states were being formed, one after the other, and that they entered the Union. One constituency for one election, no more states that swing, no more candidate elected by a minority (Trump in 2017) against the other  candidate (Hillary Clinton) who had a national majority, in statistics. Readibility and justice !

But strengthening democracy isn’t Donald’s goal. Actually he wants to be able to manipulate the ballots themselves. And soon, stuff the ballot boxes. But for that, there still have to be ballot boxes, without any electronic controls and guarantees.
