By canceling Stephen Colbert’s « Late Show » now, CBS, branch of Paramount, is giving the impression, true or false no matter, that the media company is immolating the star of free thinking and free speech on the altar of tyranny.
This agressive talk show towards Donald was on the air since 2015, before trumpism and its turpitudes. Perhaps he is not as money-making as he used to be, maybe Stephen Colbert is tired and wants to retired. But why now ? Just before Stephen Colbert’s firing, Paramount was finalizing an $8 billion merger with film studio Skydance, which was subject to approval by the Trump administration.
Trump doesn’t support criticism. The message to other night shows stars is crystal clear : mind your moons, it will heat !
Luckily, we still have the obscene, crude, and controversial South Park season 27. Although also owned by Paramount, South Park never throws in the towel, them : « Trump has a tiny penis but his love for us is so great ».
A more subtil fun, but laughing is a necessity these days :
