If I were Xi Jinping, emperor of China, I would « buy out » all of USAid. So the world would love me a bit little more.
In addition to get shot of agricultural surpluses (peanuts butter, transgenic soja beans, polenta) purchased at a good price from small American farmers, USAID was the main organization that made the exploitation by americans and western companies of the world’s resources (gold, oil, copper, etc.) in Africa or Latin America more or less tolerable, bearable for local populations. What a huge mistake to dismantle all these patiently built food aid and medical aid programs…
Instead of sending food to people in need, during all these years with its new silk roads’ program, Xi has built railroads (or restore them like the one between Djibouti and Addis Abeba – see below) and develop some harbour infrastructures. According to their philosophy : Teach a man to fish rather than give him a fish every day.
But we are not naive. It was a clever way to use China’s enormous financial resources. While making the countries connected to this program more economically dependent. Today, this financial dependence (looking some times like the Bank of China’s internatinal racket) is a little bit too visible.
In 2025, Xi doesn’t have anymore cash-flow. But on the other hand, China currently has a problem with unemployment among its young graduates. So it’s time to launch them into the conquest of the world.
Xi has the opportunity to buy full popularity on Donald’s stupidity. I am waiting and I’m sure that I will see the end of the american world domination… Donald Trump is the president who has weakened the most United States influence, therefore power.
