He will soon forbide oïl exports from the U.S. to control pump prices. By doing this, he will send a signal of weakness to the world importers. Quite surely the prices will continue to grow on the East-coast and California, who dépends on imports.
Nobody is going to shed tears for the U.S. oil and gas industry, which gave 88 percent of its donations to Republicans in the last election and has profited hugely from the effects of the Iran War. This industry will discover how deep it is depending on the whims of a president motivated solely by egotistic political considérations, winning the midterms.
