We couldn’t trust a president with such shitty taste : too much gilded trinkets, bling bling things (including a slovenian window dressing) in a rip-off paradise and only one obession : to show he has big money. Corruption begins when you mistake your own pocket for that of your electorate (and fiscal contributors).
Until now, we could clearly see conflicts of interest in which Trump and his entire family were mired. But after all, if the Saudis were dumb enough to let him build a Trump Tower in Jeddah, that’s their problem. Mr NotMyPresident was selling his name as President with his reputation and image, like others (Vuitton, Hermès, etc.) sell a brand.
But with this fund of 1,776 billion Trump has just created to bribe his sidekicks, we see clearly the swap between pockets, theirs and ours. He has eliminated the middlemen, effectively telling his officials to pay money directly to him or anyone else he favors. He is the most explicitly corrupt leader that we the people of America have ever elected. Vladimir Vladimirovitch Putin has obviously stolen billions, but never this brazenly. Even Third World dictators normally try to mask their corruption because they have bad conscience or they fear their people. Not our national tyrant who is stealing openly the people of this country by this taxpayer-financed slush fund.
And at the same time, he is cutting hit struggling food banks, risking hunger for low income americans. Instead of fighting inflation, he is making it worse by getting bogged down in a stupid war against Iran.
Are we the people going to tolerate such scams much longer ?
