In his overly long and utterly soporific speech on the state of the union, Donald Trump reminded everyone that the United States’ power was back on the international stage, that the United States was once again respected as a great power should be.
And it’s true: the United States is a great military power. But it isn’t respected; only idiots like Trump have any respect for force. The United States is feared. It inspires anxiety.
Like a drunk in a bar. When he comes looking for trouble: What’s wrong with you? Why are you staring at me? You want a little bomb in your face?
Donald is the number one irresponsible mad man on earth and he must be stopped : a bastard ayatollah was killed but I don’t care. The consequences are what matter : today the Strait of Hormuz is closed and oil prices are going to skyrocket. Going to Dubai and Doha for leisurely shopping trips is impossible. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan are being drawn into a war they did not choose. And no matter how great a power the United States may be, these societies are so fragile that no one can defend them.
And most of all many American soldiers will died, on the ground, if they get off their planes and invade Iran like they invaded Iraq, then Iraq again will go to war. Today the Trump administration planned to reshape Iran with the help of the streets and protesters. But sooner or later they will have to go to the ground because it’s impossible to change a regime only from satellites. And they will go alone, Israelis won’t.
George Bush the elder had begun war in Somalia and start the Iraki-Gulf war, Clinton ended the first one and Barack Obama stopped the secund. Walker Bush had sent Nato troops to Afghanistan, Joe Biden withdrawed them, in chaos. Donald Trump is beginning (alone, without the congress approval) a new eternal war – this one lasts since 1979 and the fall of the Pahlavi. In this country, Republicans begin wars, Democrats are ending them.
During his 2024 presidential campaign, Donald the Liar promised voters he would end eternal wars—and never start any. But yet in 2025, he ordered military strikes in seven countries. Now Teheran. Clearly, he’s developing a taste for military interventions. The most respected united states and his Republican president has triggered a new eternal war. Will we wait fifty years for the next Democratic president to stop this war?
