U.S. beef prices have been stubbornly high for a variety of reasons, including drought and reduced imports from Mexico due to a disease in cattle herds there. And of course mainly due to the rocketting increase of tariffs on Mexican products by our beloved president.
Actually it’s a very weird way to apply the America First principle. American ranchers many of whom are on the verge of suicide and bankruptcy, after loosing markets because of a stupid tariff policy will not appreciate Trump’s call at all.
