Breaking thermometer won’t help

If you have a fever, especially the first mild fever of the year, you don’t break the thermometer to get rid of it. You seek the advice of an expert, the doctor. And then you go to bed, take your little pills and rest. Any other way of reacting could be called : denial of reality.

By firing the Bureau of Labor Statistics Director, Erika McEntarfer, Donald once again proves his immaturity and stupidity. The employment outlook is not good, sending the Dow Jones Index tumbling on Wall Street. Only 73,000 job creations in July, far from the 115,000 announced. And so what ?

We can’t count on a competent response from our moron president to the next wave of mass unemployement,  but also hurricane, forest fire, plague, flood, pandemic, heatwave, financial collapse, or any other calamity : he breaks all the thermometers one after the other as soon as he experiences a little annoyance.

President Trump can no longer impose his narrative on the facts or create his own mythology. This devalues his Word and therefore his quasi-divine power over things.

Bring only good news to the tyrant. If the news are worse than expected, stay silent or speak in riddles. Otherwise for the messenger it’s the Gulag, an oubliette in the London Tower or to row on Nero’s galleys.
